WISE’S TAVERN BUILDING

Where History Lives On

Wise’s Tavern building is located on the northeast corner of Fairfax and Cameron streets across from Alexandria, Virginia’s City Hall. 

From its beginnings as a colonial tavern filled with prominent historical figures, to its use as an old age home when there was a need in the city for a humanitarian effort to help aged widows, to the current use housing both a private residence as well as commercial offices and suites, which is owned and operated by the Manning Family, Wise’s Tavern remains a building of historical significance.
